 Dear Friends, I am proud to present for the second year in succession the Shoosmiths Arts Prize for 2014. I would be delighted if you (and any colleagues) could join me at 5.30pm on Thursday 25 September at Shoosmiths , Witan Gate House, 500-600 Witan Gate West, MK9 1SH for drinks and canapés, and for the formal announcement of the prize winners. The evening is expected to finish at approximately 8pm. A panel including Fionnuala Boyd (the acclaimed local artist), Rosemary Harris (Curator of Imperial College Healthcare Charity Art Collection), Joe Harrison (Chief Executive Milton Keynes Hospital), Ceri Hand (Curator) and Anthony Spira (Director of the MK Gallery) reviewed the entries, from which 9 artists were chosen to have their work displayed in Milton Keynes Hospital and Shoosmiths Milton Keynes office. Whilst on display, the works of art have been available both for purchase, and for people to consider who to vote for to receive one of the prizes. At the presentation event you will also be able to view a group show including work by all the shortlisted artists.
