I am excited to be selected for In Paradisum exhibition at Rich Mix. The works were selected by a panel compromised of curator Philippa Edwards, UEL Fine Art graduate; Oliver Carruthers, Rich Mix's Head of Programming; Rhiannon Wilkins, Rich Mix's Programme Coordinator; Composer Benjamin Till; and Diversity Art Forum's Pauline de Souza and Stella Norris. I am very grateful for the opportunity.
Artists represented in this exhibition are Laura Ana Maria Iosifescu,Bob Aldous and Narayani L. Guibarra, Judi Breen, Johnny Doe, Maria Fraser Bugg, Anwyl Cooper-Willis, Kasia Depta-Garapich, Maria M. Kheirkhah, Valentina Lari, Vicky McLennon, Melanie Menard, Rosanna Raymond, Liz Rideal, Ina Wudtke and Paul Zeba. The group of artists responded to the phrase In Paradisum through a range of media including installation, sound, painting and lens-based works. Drawing on a wealth of cultural backgrounds - spiritual and worldly - they probe what Paradise means in our modern world.
