Breaking News! Dear friend, how are you? It seems like a heartbeat since I wrote last but incredibly it’s been a season! During this time I have been painting and creating throughout the glorious summer. In fact, being a full time artist is a dream come true for me. I never forget to be grateful for this. Having time to work, think, ruminate and be immersed in creativity is a blessing. I confess that I have never been happier about my artworks and the projects that involve me right now. So I apologise if I am overflowing with enthusiasm. Mind you, is there a better way to be? Pushing boundaries is important for every great creative artist, in whatever discipline. Tony Morrison said: ‘I always know the ending; that’s where I start.’ This is a provocative idea and given it much thought. I have actually created a dress made of paint; nothing else, just paint. Because it’s such an extraordinary and unusual creation, the dress is going to be showcased in an auction at the Saatchi Gallery. It will be showcased alongside well known contemporary artists such as Tracey Emin, Marc Quinn, Gavin Turk, Idris Khan and Xavier Mascaro. I am also so pleased to be announcing that "Another Face of My Fears " limited edition print will be auctioned from 17th September to 1st October, culminating in a live auction on Wednesday 1st October at the Saatchi Gallery, London in aid of the Princes Foundation For Children & The Arts. This is part of the BE INSPIRED Auction hosted by the Floreat Group, to raise vital funds for inspirational arts engagement programmes run for disadvantaged children by The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts (Children & the Arts). I feel privileged to be able to support this charitable organisation and I hope you will be inspired to show support too. Of course, exhibitions are really important regardless of sales. This is because they are a way to connect with an audience personally. However selling an artwork does help me to continue creating and to me, paintings truly begin to exist from the moment they are seen by other people. This autumn there will be the opportunity to see a variety of my paintings from different collections across various exhibitions. Some of the exhibitions offer important prizes to the artists.
