Life and Death
Mixed Media
2012
SOLD
Four kilograms of oil paints and acrylics were used in this work.
The three dimensionality of the foreground disrupts a more delicate illusionistic handling in the upper area of the canvas.
A small coffin at the base of the canvas receives the impasto flowers as they fall from the support. I keep the falling petals of paint in coffins as a commemoration of something that I love.
